Touge Battle: Mazda RX-7 FC3S vs. Integra DC2
Growing up, we all watched the intense Touge battles created by Best Motoring and Hot Version. Tsuchiya, Max Orido, and other guests ignited our passion for cars with their intense battles on the Gunsai Touge. Here at Seikers, we wanted to recreate those videos in English, and in the US. In this Touge battle, we pit the Mazda RX-7 FC and Integra DC2 against each other, two legends in their own right.
The Integra DC2 is a legend in FWD world, representing the pinnacle of what a great FWD car should be. With a high-revving Honda VTEC engine that revs up to 8500 RPM, it's no wonder why it's so popular in the tuning culture. The Mazda RX-7 FC, on the other hand, is a legend of a RWD car with a rotary engine that revs to the moon. Both of these imports can be modified to suit the needs of each individual, making them popular among tuners.
On the technical course we chose for our Touge Battle, raw horsepower isn't enough. Tuning efforts have to focus on the suspension, brakes, and overall handling of the cars.
At the end of the day, both the Mazda RX-7 FC and Integra DC2 held their own in our Touge Battle. Each car has its strengths and weaknesses, and it was exciting to see them put to the test. Whether you're a fan of FWD or RWD cars, both of these legends are worth your attention.
